COURSE DESCRIPTION

ANTH&210 — Indians of North America  (5 cr)

This course is an introduction to the diverse American Indian cultures of North America north of Mexico from pre-European contact to the present. Emphasizing a four-field anthropological framework, this course examines aspects of American Indian culture such as environmental adaptations, religious-ideological systems, kinship systems, and social identity.
